The five-step research process

1. Interpret the brief

   Translate the traveler’s dates, party, budget, priorities, constraints, and open questions into decision criteria without silently inventing preferences.

2. Collect and compare available sources

   Review the available provider, booking, destination, map, and traveler-feedback sources that are relevant to the request, noting their scope and when they were checked.

3. Normalize fit, cost, and logistics

   Put room and occupancy terms, inclusions, estimated total cost, location, and transfer requirements on a comparable basis.

4. Surface trade-offs, risks, unknowns, and questions

   Separate supported facts from estimates and unresolved details, explain what could change the decision, and turn gaps into questions for providers.

5. Present a decision shortlist

   Rank a focused set of options against the brief and explain why each one fits, where it compromises, and what should be verified before booking.

How AI assists the research

AI helps interpret a trip brief, extract and organize source information, compare options on consistent dimensions, and prepare concise decision reasoning. It can accelerate the work, but it is not treated as the source of truth.

Important travel claims should be grounded in the available source material. When a detail is missing, contradictory, or too time-sensitive to state confidently, the report should preserve that uncertainty rather than fill the gap with a guess.

Three labels keep the evidence behind a recommendation legible:

Source scope

A report uses sources available and relevant to the specific brief. It is a focused decision review, not an exhaustive inventory of every property or offer.

Freshness

Source information is tied to when it was checked. Prices, availability, taxes, inclusions, transfer arrangements, and policies can change after that point.

Confidence

Supported details, estimates, conflicting information, unknowns, and provider questions are kept distinct so uncertainty remains visible.
